Jesus my relentless lover

Where would you put your "X" on this spectrum?

Believing this (or doubting this) will make all the difference in your journey with Christ.

Living out each day in the truth of God's great love for you is what is going to sustain you in your spiritual journey.

Be honest - if you're on the left side, don't lie or hide that.

But if so, ask Jesus to give you the desire to move closer to Him.

Wow, I know the correct answer, but to be honest I would have to plot myself from the middle or toward the left.

Most often I feel more like the last guy picked at the playground when picking up sides. You have to pick everybody who wants in. Even the kid with no skills who will probably make you lose with errors and strikeouts. Certainly not relentlessly pursued with passion and joy. That would be for the first ones picked who had the talent.

Maybe I am just having a bad day and confusing feelings with facts. I know the right answer, but why do I so often "feel" the wrong answer?

Very interesting post. Thanks. I will be thinking about this one for awhile.

It's one of the best things to meditate on. It's my conviction that most of our insecurities and limitations in the Christian life are connected to this truth - that is, if we doubt it, we will struggle with trusting the goodness of God. His love for us has, to borrow the phrase, launched a thousand vessels in pursuit of Him.
