It's my conviction that most of our insecurities and limitations in the Christian life are connected to this truth - that is, if we doubt it, we will struggle with trusting the goodness of God. His love for us has, to borrow the phrase, launched a thousand vessels in pursuit of Him.

Comment on Jesus my relentless lover

Way to the right... You have to pick everybody who wants in. Even the kid with no skills who will probably make you lose with errors and strikeouts. Certainly not relentlessly pursued with passion and joy. That would be for the first ones picked who had the talent.

Maybe I am just having a bad day and confusing feelings with facts. I know the right answer, but why do I so often "feel" the wrong answer?

Very interesting post. Thanks. I will be thinking about this one for awhile.

Comment on Resisting the death of self

Yes, as we are filled with Jesus, may we let go of and deny the many 'others' that block our enjoyment of Him.
